Please join us in congratulating Informatics faculty members Drs. Hadi Kharrazi and Jonathan Weiner for their chapters in the 3rd edition of Magnuson and Dixon’s Public Health Informatics and Information Systems. “Role of Informatics in Bridging Public and Population Health” observes how informatics can bring together public and population health through an examination of two population health programs that use informatics effectively. “Public Health Decision Support Systems” provides foundational knowledge about decision support systems and compares the way they are used between the public and clinical health settings. This text is the standard textbook in health informatics and was last published over seven years ago.
