Congratulations to Zubin Khan, an Informatics alumni, for being elected as the AMIA Student Working Group (SWG) Chair-elect

AMIA’s (American Medical Informatics Association) Board of Directors election results were announced at the State of the Association meeting held during the AMIA 2020 Virtual Annual Symposium that took place from November 14-18, 2020.

Zubin Khan, who graduated in 2018 with a masters from our Health Sciences Informatics Research program, was elected as the AMIA Student Working Group (SWG) Chair-elect. The total tenure will be for 3 years with an official start of term on January 1, 2021 (Chair-elect for one year, the following year as Chair and the third year as Past Chair).

As the Chair-elect, Zubin will be working closely with the AMIA Leadership Team and other AMIA workgroups. Zubin will continue to work with our Informatics department and let students know about upcoming opportunities for student involvement regarding informatics.
