Congratulations to DHSI faculty member, Diego Martinez (Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine), on his recent publication in IISE Transactions on Healthcare Systems Engineering. Dr. Martinez and colleagues describe how clinicians and administrators can use a systems engineering approach to measure the impact of improvement efforts while accounting for confounders often present in complex hospital operations.
